Located 95 miles south of Charleston, on an island off the coast of South Carolina, Hilton Head Island is 12 miles wide with beaches that range up to 600 feet at low tide. Popular beach activities include bicycling, jogging, and sunbathing. Sports activities are prevalent with 25 golf courses and 300 tennis courts. Other activities include horseback riding, eco-tours of the island’s nature preserves, sailing, deep sea fishing, windsurfing, crabbing, canoeing, exploring and bird watching.
